Honda charges a lease price of USD389 or around Rp3.6 million per month ( 1$ = Rp.9,625 currency exchange rate).

The Honda Fit EV's arrival seems to have attracted consumers in the US, South Californian consumers in particular, to drive it, following the Environmental Protection Agency/EPA's announcement of the Fit EV's fuel economy at 50.15km/litre. In fact, the electric motor fitted on the Fit EV produces only 29kWh to travel 160 kilometres.

Matt and Becky Walton then became the first persons to get the opportunity to drive the Honda Fit EV, as they've leased the Fit EV to be used for their daily commutings."It's truly an honor to take delivery of the first Honda Fit EV and participate in the advancement of all-electric vehicles in the real world," said Mr. Walton.

"The Honda Fit EV is not only a sustainable and energy efficient transportation option with the highest fuel-efficiency rating of any EV, but it has the added bonus of being fun-to-drive and can fully recharge from empty in less than three hours," he also added.

Currently, Honda America has made the Fit EV available at Honda dealers in California and Oregon, with future plans to expand to East Coast markets in early 2013. As for the lease price, Honda charges USD389 or around Rp3.6 million per month (Rp9,625 currency exchange rate).
