For a subsidiary of a prominent automaker, it seems that Porsche Design can't keep their hands off of everything worth designing even outside the automotive sphere.

Besides making their own line of luggages, wallets, eyewears and t-shirts, Porsche Design have also jointly-created products with other established brands, such as Adidas and Blackberry.

The latter collaboration of course produced the Blackberry P'9981, which was launched on October 27th of last year at an event held at the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

Following the market success since its launch in the United Arab Emirates and Brittain, the smart phone has now also found its way into new markets, namely India and Canada. The Blackberry P'9981 is offered to Indian consumers at a price of INR139,990 (around Rp.23.5 million), while Canadian consumers will be able to purchase it at CAD1,899 (around Rp.17.5 million).

The P'9981 is a smart phone that relies on a 1.2GHz processor. Featuring Liquid Graphics technology, other specificatons include a built-in 8GB memory expandable to 40GB via microSD card, a 5MP camera and High Definition (HD) video recording. (Martin H. S.)
