Though this CR-Z GT, Honda is on the reade to face Nissan GT-R GT3 and Subaru BRZ GT300 in the Super GT event.

If you're thinking Honda CR-Z is just a sporty car with an average range of power, then think again as you see this CR-Z. Fully supported by the manufacturer, Honda CR-Z GT which will be helmed by Mugen team will make its round in the Super GT 2012 racing championship, in Sportsland SUGO, Japan on July 28th.

Honda also replaces the standard issue engine of CR-Z in order to compete with Nisan GT-R GT3 or Subaru BRZ GT300. The initial 122hp power output has been elevated to become 300hp.

The new power output is made possible by the installation of 2.800 cc twin-turbocharged V6 engine which housed inside the Honda CR-Z GT. This car's ability becomes fiercer especially when combined with the hybrid system which been adjusted to the GT racing specification.

Honda CR-Z GT also been inserted with body panels made from carbon fibre by stripping its interior and filled the cabin with a roll cage.

Initially, Honda once made an announcement that they will return to the Rally Dakar arena after being absent for 23 years. Honda's participation in the Super GT somewhat marks their commitment to renew their success in the racing scene.
