Mitsubishi Outlander Sport as Honda CR-V competitor arrives in Indonesia
PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) finally confirms the soon
availability of the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. As a vehicle set to play
in the thicker segment of the car market, the Outlander Sport is an SUV
that is ready to be a contender.
Tomorrow, the brand holder of Mitsubishi in Indonesia will officially launch its latest five-passenger SUV in front of the media. Themed "The Legend Meets Urban Soul", Mitsubishi seems to represent the Outlander Sport's historic design character as very suiting for young-spirited consumers.
As a vehicle designed for two terrains (on and off-road), the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is equipped with a 1,998cc four-cylinder MIVEC DOHC engine. With this powerplant, the SUV is able to produce 150PS at 6,000rpm and a maximum torque of 197 at 4,200rpm. While for off-road conditions, the four-wheel-drive vehicle is already equipped with the AWC electronically-controlled four-wheel drive system.
Though its price is still unclear, several sources predict that the Outlander Sport's will be in the Rp.300 million-ish. The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport's arrival on July 10, 2012 will add the competition in the SUV market, which already has the likes of the Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Captiva, Ford Escape, Nissan X-Trail, Mazda CX-5 and the Hyundai New Tucson.
