From Stuttgart-based exotic car maker, Porsche, comes the news that their sales percentage for the first semester of 2012 has been a positive growth.

During the first six months of 2012, Porsche experienced a 14% sales growth to a total of 69,171 units in the global market. Porsche was able to sell 12.699 units throughout last June alone.

During the first semester of 2012, Porsche was able to sell 26,024 units in Europe, while domestically in Germany, Porsche managed to sell 9,536 units, 23,948 units in the Asia Pacific and 15,274 units in China.

Porsche's sales success is closely related to the 911, which is still Porsche's icon in the global market. This model has been a market hit with 14,338 units, followed by the Panamera with 15,601 units, and the Cayenne with 34,727 units.

Bernhard Maier, a member of Porsche AG's Sales and Marketing Executive Board said that despite of Europe's current state of economic uncertainty, Porsche will make further efforts for more growth. This sub-brand of VW even targets a two-digit growth in 2012. "We will continue to observe the economic condition in Europe for any sign of stability," revealed Maier in his press statement on Monday (16/7).
